The ERUTM64-19 is a 640×512 uncooled infrared thermal core module built around a 12 µm vanadium oxide (VOx) detector, paired here with a 19 mm athermal objective. That combination produces a 22.9° × 18.4° field of view and a calculated detection range of approximately 1800 m against a human-size target — the balanced workhorse of the 640 series — roughly twice the reach of the 9 mm while keeping a usable field of view.
Like the rest of the ERUTM64 (640 × 512) family, the core delivers NETD of ≤35 mK, 50Hz real-time output and <0.85 W power consumption, so it can be embedded in battery-powered and space-constrained platforms without a dedicated thermal design.
Why the 19 mm lens
The 19 mm configuration is the most widely specified lens in the series because it keeps a wide enough field of view for situational awareness while roughly doubling the detection distance of the 9 mm version.
Field of view, detection distance and pixel density on target are all governed by the focal length. The table below shows how the ERUTM64 series behaves across its lens options, so you can match the module to the distance your project actually operates at.

Designed for OEM Integration
The ERUTM64-19 is supplied as a bare core so that system integrators can mount it directly against their own optics, housing and processing board. With dimensions of 26mm × 26mm × 25mm and the interface set listed above, it fits platforms where a complete camera would be too large.
Integration support covers interface-board selection, communication protocol documentation, lens alternatives, mounting geometry and firmware parameter tuning. Where a project needs a different field of view, the same core is available with other focal lengths in the ERUTM64 series.
Typical Applications
With a 19 mm lens the ERUTM64-19 is most often specified for:
- UAV gimbal payloads for day/night aerial imaging and inspection
- Fixed security and perimeter cameras covering a yard, gate or fence line
- Handheld and tripod-mounted observation devices
- Search and rescue optics used from helicopters and drones
- Vehicle and marine night-vision systems
