The ERUTM128-35 is a 1280×1024 uncooled infrared thermal core module built around a 12 µm vanadium oxide (VOx) detector, paired here with a 35 mm athermal objective. That combination produces a 24.8° × 19.9° field of view and a calculated detection range of approximately 3300 m against a human-size target — the balanced 1280 × 1024 configuration — coverage and reach in equal measure.

Like the rest of the ERUTM128 (1280 × 1024) family, the core delivers NETD of ≤30 mK, 25Hz / 30Hz / 50Hz real-time output and ≤1.2 W power consumption, so it can be embedded in battery-powered and space-constrained platforms without a dedicated thermal design.

    Why the 35 mm lens

The 35 mm lens narrows the field to 25.3° while the 1280 × 1024 detector keeps target detail high. It is the middle option of the series and the safest choice when the operating distance is not yet fixed.

Field of view, detection distance and pixel density on target are all governed by the focal length. The table below shows how the ERUTM128 series behaves across its lens options, so you can match the module to the distance your project actually operates at.

    • Industrial operating range of −40 °C to +60 °C

    Designed for OEM Integration

The ERUTM128-35 is supplied as a bare core so that system integrators can mount it directly against their own optics, housing and processing board. With dimensions of 38 × 39 × 28 mm (fixed focal 14/19/25/35 mm); 68 × 69 × 24.7 mm (50 mm and motorised / continuous zoom) and the interface set listed above, it fits platforms where a complete camera would be too large.

Integration support covers interface-board selection, communication protocol documentation, lens alternatives, mounting geometry and firmware parameter tuning. Where a project needs a different field of view, the same core is available with other focal lengths in the ERUTM128 series.

    Typical Applications

With a 35 mm lens the ERUTM128-35 is most often specified for:

    • UAV gimbal payloads for surveillance, inspection and public safety
    • Border and coastal monitoring with medium-range detection
    • Vehicle-mounted thermal observation platforms
    • Search and rescue optics operating from aircraft
    • Fixed security cameras requiring both wide coverage and target recognition
