The ERUTM128-100 is a 1280×1024 uncooled infrared thermal core module built around a 12 µm vanadium oxide (VOx) detector, paired here with a 100 mm athermal objective. That combination produces a 8.8° × 7.0° field of view and a calculated detection range of approximately 9450 m against a human-size target — the long-range flagship of the 1280 × 1024 series.
Like the rest of the ERUTM128 (1280 × 1024) family, the core delivers NETD of ≤30 mK, 25Hz / 30Hz / 50Hz real-time output and ≤1.2 W power consumption, so it can be embedded in battery-powered and space-constrained platforms without a dedicated thermal design.
Why the 100 mm lens
A 100 mm lens reduces the field of view to 9.0°, so the 1280 × 1024 detector can resolve targets at several kilometres. Motorised focus and continuous-zoom alternatives (25–75 / 28–90 / 30–180 / 30–300 mm) are available on the same core when the field of view must change in the field.
Field of view, detection distance and pixel density on target are all governed by the focal length. The table below shows how the ERUTM128 series behaves across its lens options, so you can match the module to the distance your project actually operates at.

Designed for OEM Integration
The ERUTM128-100 is supplied as a bare core so that system integrators can mount it directly against their own optics, housing and processing board. With dimensions of 68 × 69 × 24.7 mm (motorised / continuous zoom housing) and the interface set listed above, it fits platforms where a complete camera would be too large.
Integration support covers interface-board selection, communication protocol documentation, lens alternatives, mounting geometry and firmware parameter tuning. Where a project needs a different field of view, the same core is available with other focal lengths in the ERUTM128 series.
Typical Applications
With a 100 mm lens the ERUTM128-100 is most often specified for:
- Coastal and maritime surveillance at several kilometres
- Border security and long-range perimeter monitoring
- Critical infrastructure and perimeter protection
- Long-range observation posts and elevated sensor masts
- Counter-UAS detection projects requiring maximum stand-off
