<p><span>To celibrate AMT Netherlands 12,5 th Anniversary of series production we introduced a new engine in the high thrust class.</span></p>
<h4><span>Description of the Titan  Electric start gas turbine.</span></h4>
<p><span>The Titan has been constructed from a single radial compressor and an axial flow turbine stage. The Titan  owes much of its excellent performance and superb power/weight ratio to a new design diffuser stage. This revolutionary type of diffuser also allows the relative small engine diameter.</span></p>
<p><span>The time required for the Titan  to spool up and down is also positively influenced by the low mass of the axial turbine wheel, taking less than 4 seconds and from min. to max. rpm and only 3 seconds from max. rpm to min. rpm.</span></p>
<p><span>Like all our turbines the Titan  is available with manual or auto Air-start, as well as fully automatic electric starting.</span></p>

The control of the engine with this EPV can be done in 3 different ways. 1 With a PWM signal 2. With a DC signal (analog control) 3. With a serial protocol. <h4>Construction.</h4>
<p>The Nike engine is constructed around a single, fully CNC machined, radial compressor wheel and an axial flow turbine stage. The Nike owes most of its excellent performance and power/weight ratio because of its revolutionary design diffuser stage similar to the Titan engine.</p>
<h4>Fuel consumption.</h4>
<p>The specific fuel consumption is extremely good for an engine in this thrust class especially when looking at the small engine diameter of this engine. At S.T.P. and 100% throttle (784N/176Lbf thrust) this engine uses only 1850 Gram/Min (65,25 oz/min). You will not find an engine with better fuel consumption figures.</p>
<h4>Seize / weight.</h4>
<p>The diffuser stage allows the relative small engine diameter of 201 mm for this high thrust engine. The "engine only weight" is 9150 gram (20,2 Lb), the "system airborne * weight" of the complete Nike system is only 11300 gram (24,9 Lb), which is extremely competitive for an engine with this thrust.</p>
<h4>Starting system.</h4>
<p>Since March 2014 the Nike is already manufactured with a internal direct electric start kerosene starting system, on request also propane start is a option, both work as a fully automatic electric starting system.</p>
<h4>Features.</h4>
<p>A feature used within this engine is the internal EGT sensor, this EGT sensor (a real Tt5) has a diameter of 1.0 mm, because of this small diameter there is a fast EGT response time possible. The result of this fast EGT response time is a short start up time of less than 30 seconds.</p>
<h4>Applications.</h4>
<p>This engine will find its use in UAV high speed target drone applications, experimental aircraft, universities, sound studies, full size gliders and many more applications. Especially for "university" applications we can apply several measuring positions on this engine like we do with Olympus HP and Titan engines. (see picture of a University Olympus HP engine)</p>
<h4>Pricing.</h4>
<p>The price mentioned in our pricing page is a single unit priceing. For our dealer network and larger quantities we can offer a different pricing.</p>
<h4>Restrictions.</h4>
<p>There are no restrictions for the sale of this engine within the European Union **), however for customers outside the European Union there is a need for a "end user certificate". This certificate is needed because of Counsel Regulation (EC) No 1167/2008 of 24 October 2008, more specific; CATEGORY 9 AEROSPACE AND PROPULSION.</p>

<p>AMT Netherlands did start with the production the engine layout with EPV middle October 2014.</p>

<div><span>The original Olympus design was redesigned in 2004 to the HP version, in 2010 the engine is converted to a direct kerosene starting system. The engine is highly used in the &ldquo;model jet scene&rdquo; but also professionals are using the Olympus HP. A spinoff of the Olympus HP is being certified by EASA for the use as a &ldquo;bringing home device&rdquo; for a full size glider. For universities a &ldquo;special&rdquo; layout is available with measuring points (see Images).</span></div>
<div><span>Electronic Control Unit</span>AMT Netherlands  developed in house a fully automatic ECU to control the turbine, main reason for this development was that there was a need for fully automatic starting turbines.  The latest update was to comply with the latest AMA<br />requirements, with this software update (V29) we made it also possible to use lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries without changing anything to the settings of the ECU. The lithium polymer batteries are available for all our engine types.

The engine is highly used in the &ldquo;model jet scene&rdquo; but also professionals are using the Olympus HP. A spinoff of the Olympus HP is being certified by EASA for the use as a &ldquo;bringing home device&rdquo; for a full size glider. For universities a &ldquo;special&rdquo; layout is available with measuring points (see Images).</span></div>
<div><span>Electronic Control Unit</span>AMT Netherlands  developed in house a fully automatic ECU to control the turbine, main reason for this development was that there was a need for fully automatic starting turbines.  The latest update was to comply with the latest AMA<br />requirements, with this software update (V29) we made it also possible to use lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries without changing anything to the settings of the ECU. The lithium polymer batteries are available for all our engine types.

<div><span>The original Olympus design was redesigned in 2004 to the HP version, in 2010 the engine is converted to a direct kerosene starting system. The engine is highly used in the &ldquo;model jet scene&rdquo; but also professionals are using the Olympus HP. A spinoff of the Olympus HP is being certified by EASA for the use as a &ldquo;bringing home device&rdquo; for a full size glider. For universities a &ldquo;special&rdquo; layout is available with measuring points (see Images).</span></div>
<div><span>Electronic Control Unit</span>AMT Netherlands  developed in house a fully automatic ECU to control the turbine, main reason for this development was that there was a need for fully automatic starting turbines.  The latest update was to comply with the latest AMA<br />requirements, with this software update (V29) we made it also possible to use lithium polymer (LiPo) batteries without changing anything to the settings of the ECU. The lithium polymer batteries are available for all our engine types.

<p><span>Now producing an astonishing 16-17* kg thrust, this new motor is a fully redeveloped version of our original Pegasus design. As well as a 25%  increase in thrust, it features reduced fuel consumption, much improved throttle-response, faster start-up&rsquo;s and lower EGT&rsquo;s.</span></p>
<p><span>The redesign includes many new parts, including the main shaft, bearings,turbine wheel, combustion chamber, turbine stator (NGV), and higher specification of fuel pump. The new motor also includes a smart anodised inlet and front cap, and Festo quick-connectors to make installation easier.</span></p>

<p><span>AMT Netherlands is proud to announce the &lsquo;Pegasus HP E-start, a completely  new &lsquo;High Performance&rsquo; version of our original Pegasus turbine, which has been in constant production since 1995.</span></p>
<p><span>Now producing an astonishing 16-17* kg thrust, this new motor is a fully redeveloped version of our original Pegasus design. As well as a 25%  increase in thrust, it features reduced fuel consumption, much improved throttle-response, faster start-up&rsquo;s and lower EGT&rsquo;s.</span></p>
<p><span>The redesign includes many new parts, including the main shaft, bearings,turbine wheel, combustion chamber, turbine stator (NGV), and higher specification of fuel pump. The new motor also includes a smart anodised inlet and front cap, and Festo quick-connectors to make installation easier.</span></p>
<p><span>Of course, like all the turbines from AMT Netherlands, the new &lsquo;Pegasus HP Estart&rsquo; comes complete with a full 2 year Warranty.</span></p>
